Two Compton Unified Schools Win National Blue Ribbon Schools Award

Compton Unified School District (CUSD) announced today two of their schools have been awarded National Blue Ribbon Schools Awards – the nation’s most prestigious school award. Compton Students’ Voices Help Nonprofit OneVoice Support Youth in Nicaragua, India & Liberia with Charity Song

This past summer, in collaboration with partners Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA), more than 20 Foster students lent their voices to nonprofit OneVoice’s charity single, “You Are Beautiful.” The song has helped to raise over $14,000 to support the communities of Haryana, India; El Manzano Uno, Nicaragua; and Monrovia, Liberia.
